Tia Adam, a senior, stands out as a creative and driven student with a strong passion for math, especially Algebra 2 and Calculus. Known by her friends as “creative,” Tia brings that energy not only into the classroom but also into her life outside of school, where she loves baking cakes and trying out fun new recipes.
Tia has been actively involved in her school community throughout high school. She participates in Leo Club, NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, and Jigsaw Club, and has also contributed through Students Helping Students. In addition, she has gained real-world experience through a PFE placement at both Perry and the high school. Her favorite memories come from these experiences, especially the friendships she has built, her involvement with Leo Club, and working on the yearbook. She reflects that these moments show just how much she has grown over the years.
When it comes to favorites, Tia enjoys a mix of classic and entertaining stories. Her favorite books include To Kill a Mockingbird and The Five People You meet in Heaven, while her go-to shows are Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. For movies, she keeps it fun with Grown Ups. One surprising fact about Tia is that she broke her arm in kindergarten the day before a beach trip, definitely an unforgettable memory.
Looking ahead, Tia is committed to attending Millersville University, where she plans to study applied mathematics. In 5-10 years, she hopes to have graduated with her degree and secured a well-paying job in the field. Right now, her main focus is preparing for college while also making the most of her final month of high school.
Her advice to other students is simple but meaningful: make the most of everything. Tia’s high school journey reflects that mindset, staying involved, working hard, and appreciating every moment along the way.
