As course selection approaches for high school students, students have to take the time to think about what classes they want to take next year. While schools offer a wide variety of classes, some students still wish they had more choices. With education getting bigger and better everyday that calls on the demand for more classes. Some students want classes that can help them in their career field, while others would want different kinds of classes.
One idea for classes students want is business-focused classes. Things like this that our school offers include business fundamentals, accounting, personal finance, etc. Our school offers a good amount of business classes to take.
Another thing that some students might want to take are career-focused classes. These are classes that can give students career field experience or help with jobs. These classes can give students work experience and customer service. Some students feel as if when they graduate, they are not fully prepared. So these classes can be offered to make sure that students are fully prepared to graduate.
Freshman, Phalene Hoppes, wishes our school taught life skills, so a class about sewing, cooking, writing checks, keeping a checkbook, etc. She would add a gym class named Popular US sports, a class for a backstory on popular US sports and how to play them, a subject that would be a physical wellness. She thinks our school has a variety of classes and thinks it is helpful to have BCTC for some students so that they can get help, so they know what they want to do after high school. She prefers hands-on classes since she is more of a visual learner than a listener. She feels as if the classes we have prepare the students well for graduation since the teachers are flexible and want students to graduate and succeed.
Freshman Justin Dusko would want our school to teach a gym class for sports. For example, a class all about Baseball, he thinks this would make for a good addition to our school. He thinks our school offers a variety of classes. He prefers hands-on classes more than traditional ones. He also feels that the school prepares students well for graduation.
