As the school year comes to a close, students at Hamburg Area High School are opening their yearbooks and reflecting on the memories they made throughout the year. Along with revisiting those moments, students are also sharing their opinions on the overall design and theme of the 2025–2026 yearbook.
Senior Madeline Handwerk described the yearbook as both heartfelt and bittersweet. She said, “I like that it is a composition book, and it is cool. It is my favorite one I’ve ever gotten.” Handwerk also explained that she thought this year’s book was organized, clean, simple, and well put together.
Senior Mason Gruber shared similar thoughts, saying, “I think it’s good, and better than the other ones, in my opinion.”
Mrs. Ponter shared her thoughts as well, saying, “The yearbooks look great! I heard many students state that they love how colorful they are.”
Our principal, Mr. McGinley, also praised the senior editors, Tia Adam and Bethany Stufflet, for their dedication to the project. He said, “As Publication Senior Editors, a tremendous amount of effort and time goes into creating the final product. Congratulations to both of you on an amazing job well done, and thank you for helping provide our students with a lasting and memorable part of their high school experience.”
Overall, the yearbook staff has received mainly positive feedback from students and teachers about this year’s book. While some students pointed out small flaws, it is important to remember that the yearbook is created entirely by students who work hard all year to capture memories of the school year.
