Reiley Jozefick is a freshman student who is also a three sport athlete and always has a busy schedule. She does dance year-round, cheer in the fall and winter, and softball in the spring. She recently tore her ACL and will have to be on rehab for a year. But that does not mean she will take a break from sports. Instead, Jozefick plans to follow in her brothers’ footsteps and compete in track since she is unable to do softballl.
Jozefick said that she has been doing school sports for as long as she can remember, and her favorite part has been playing with friends she has grown up with and had her entire childhood. She would describe herself as dedicated and enthusiastic. Jozefick admitted that her biggest challenges are when as an athlete she does not feel confident and does not feel like she is enough and of course the risk of getting injured.
Cheyenne Kline, another freshman who has been playing softball with Reiley since middle school said her favorite part of being on a team with Reiley is the attitude she brings, no matter the turnout of a play. Kline would also say one of Jozefick’s greatest strengths is being a leader to the team. She admires that even while out on an injury, Reiley still shows up and tries to help out the team in any way. Kline stated that as an athlete Reiley is gifted and a natural leader but as an athlete and most importantly as a friend she is always there for a shoulder to lean on.
