On March 6 and 7, wrestlers from across the state competed in one of the toughest tournaments of the year, States located in Hershey. Among them were Daisy Nemes, sophomore, and Chase Homan, senior, who both demonstrated determination.
Daisy Nemes lost twice on the first day of the tournament, which ended her run early, but she remained positive about the experience. She said, “It was a great experience attending this event and witnessing it, and hopefully in later years I can make it farther.” Her attitude shows strong sportsmanship.
Meanwhile, Chase advanced to the second day of the tournament and earned 5th place, showing his hard work and skill for his senior year, he states, “I felt grateful for my opportunity to compete and give all my effort toward a goal I’ve worked for my entire life. I was striving for more, but proud for the way I performed.”. Although their results were different, both wrestlers proved that competing at states takes effort and dedication.
