Bendy And The Dark Revival is a first-person survival horror game and the much-anticipated sequel to Bendy and the Ink Machine, which was rated T for Teen (13+ due to violence, blood, gore, and horror), currently only three or four years of age, being released on November 15, 2022. The given genres for this game are horror game, puzzle, adventure game, action game, and adventure.
In BATDR, players control Audrey Drew, who is the protagonist and later revealed to be Joey Drew’s daughter birthed from the ink machine and created using ink. Within the timeline, Audrey gains ink-based abilities, including banish, which can erase the Searchers and Lost Ones without harming them, flow, which allows her to dash through long distances, and an unnamed ability given by a character, Heidi, that gives us the power to fast travel through the ink spawn puddles. Though there is another ability that could either be the same as Heidi’s or mildly different that was given to Sammy Lawrence, which was the ability to fast-travel through the ink walls to anywhere he pleases in the Studio (Revealed in Lone Wolf).
From the beginning of the game, the player can automatically tell that the antagonist is different from the first games, with the first ones being Bendy/Ink Demon, while the second one is a human janitor, Wilson who worked with Audrey before becoming the somewhat “lord” of the ink cycles, who overturned te original cycles and imprisoned those he deemed “cycle breakers”, who consisted of Alice Angel (twisted), Henry Stein (the previous protagonist), and Sammy Lawrence (who was presumed to be there just because he fought back against the Keepers, ones who watch over the cycles). Once Audrey first falls into the ink world of Joey Drew Studio, she begins to question what is happening to her, as she appears more like the beasts from the ink world, and she starts to look more ink-like, seeing as she is unaware of not only being the daughter of Joey Drew himself, but also that she is an ink-hybrid.
