As the new year begins, many students set goals for themselves, hoping to improve their habits or try something new. However, as the weeks go on, sticking to those resolutions can be challenging. A recent poll asked students whether they have kept their New Year’s resolutions or already forgotten them.
Out of the students surveyed, 45 said they have stuck with their resolutions so far, while 58 admitted they have already forgotten them. Students who stayed committed said their goals helped motivate them to stay organized, improve grades, or focus on their health. Others explained that busy schedules, stress, or losing motivation made it difficult to keep up with their goals.
Although more students said they forgot their resolutions, many agreed that setting goals is still important. Some students mentioned that even if they did not stick to their original resolution, they plan to set new goals throughout the year. This shows that while New Year’s resolutions do not always last, the idea of self-improvement continues beyond January.
