As Halloween approaches, haunted attractions open. Field of Screams is known as one of the scariest and most popular haunted attractions in America. Located in Lancaster PA. With four attractions including Den of Darkness the Den of Darkness is three story with passageways.Frightmare Asylum is 4 floors of the demented and deranged as stated on the website. Haunted Hayride There is no turning back as the tractor-pulled wagons take you on a horrifying hayride. Nocturnal Wasteland you will come face-to-face with the mutant creatures of this fear-filled forest. Tickets starting at $50.00 with the highest being $75.00. Open Thursday through sunday until 11 pm.

    This September I have been twice to the Field of Screams. Once with fellow Hawk Happenings student Hannah Kristiniak. The other time I was with a co-worker and her boyfriend, and each time I had a different experience. 

    The first time I went was with Hannah Kristiniak for media night. I was very excited while she was very nervous. Hannah and I are complete opposites when it comes to things like this, I love it and she does not. We had planned to go on the hayride first. The haunted hayride consisted of multiple parts with “mutants”, men with chainsaws, and much more. People were screaming in my face and touching me. We ended up leaving shortly after the first attractions due to the fact of Hannah not enjoy it. I did not get to experience Field of Screams this time.

     The second time I went was with a work friend and her boyfriend. I went to three out of the four attractions. This time I had the same experience on the hayride but my friend from work was crouching in her boyfriend’s lap due to fear. While I was very excited to be there. Her boyfriend was a little scared as well. I had to go in first on every attraction we had gone on. After the hayride, we went on nocturnal wasteland and I jumped once because I was not paying attention. In the Asylum, they were the same way. They made their presence very known and my work friend did not enjoy that.     

     I will admit I was nervous about the asylum due to not being into paranormal or possession kind of stuff. I enjoyed the asylum the most. I would go to the Field of Screams again.
