With a long start to the year, Valentine’s Day is slowly sneaking up. For the Hamburg Area School District, students are lucky to have a four-day weekend due to President’s day. This gives students tons of time to hang out with family, friends, and significant others.
Senior Bethany Stufflet is looking forward to spending the time with her boyfriend and her family, as Valentine’s Day happens to be her dad’s birthday. She and her boyfriend will be exchanging gifts and building LEGO sets. With her family, she is going out to eat to celebrate her dad’s birthday. When it comes to Valentine’s Day gifts, her parents usually buy her a little box of chocolates, she and her boyfriend exchange gifts, and she is teaming up with her mom to buy something for her dad.
Another Junior Maddie Handwerk is also looking forward to spending time with her boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. Besides that she and her boyfriend are also going on a double date to Olive Garden with her friend and her boyfriend. She is excited to exchange gifts with her boyfriend as well.
Sophomore, Rylee Strunk, will be spending time with the people she cares about the most. Besides just that, she is going to a Galentine’s party on the 13th, which she is excited about. She is also excited about buying gifts for people she is close to.
Overall, most students find the time to be exciting as they spend it with the people they care about the most.
