2026 is just around the corner, and many students are already setting goals and making plans to better themselves in the upcoming year. To learn more about what students hope to accomplish, we spoke with several members of the student body about their goals for 2026.
Andrew Koval, a student at Hamburg Area High School in grade 12, plans to adopt a more organized schedule after finding this year’s routine more hectic than he expected. His goals for 2026 include graduating from Hamburg Area High School, starting his first year of college, and successfully passing all of his classes. Andrew also aims to find a stable job after graduation and save enough money to move into his own apartment.
Ashley Oxenreider, a Hamburg Area High School student in year 11, hopes to stop procrastinating and challenge herself by crocheting the biggest project she can create. She also plans to have more fun, continue earning honor roll, and finally get both a job and her driver’s license.
Both students share a desire to grow, improve, and prepare for the next stages of their lives, showing that the new year brings motivation and ambition to students across Hamburg Area High School.
