Thanksgiving is just around the corner and will be here before we all know it. Thanksgiving is a special time of year that is all about spending time with family and friends and being grateful for many things. There are many activities people can do on Thanksgiving including eating yummy food, playing or watching football, or just sitting around the dinner table with loved ones. Many families have their own traditions that they do year after year.
Senior Tia Adam has a tradition of playing Thanksgiving games with her family. “Sometimes we play games on our TV, card games, or board games,” said Tia. Another student that has many traditions is Ana Smith. Her family will host Thanksgiving each year which she says is always so much fun. “We also watch the Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade each year in the morning when everyone wakes up,” said Ana. Eating deciduous homemade food is another tradition the Ana’s family enjoys doing year after year. Kaleigh Phillips enjoys eating pumpkin pie each year because that is one of her favorites.
Each family is different in what traditions they have, but in the end the only thing that matters is just having that nice quality time that everyone gets to spend with their family on Thanksgiving Day.
