The Hamburg Area High School girls softball team is off to a strong and promising start this season, players already feeling the positive energy surrounding the team. “Softball season is going very well so far. I feel as though we have a good team and we are going to make it far this year,” sophomore Madison Wessner shared. The games and practices have helped build confidence, and the team’s focus and determination are already showing on the field.
A major highlight for many players has been the bond forming between teammates. “My favorite thing about softball is the friends that I have made and the new people I have met from the sport,” Madison said, emphasizing how the team’s closeness has contributed to their success. Sophomore, Kaida Chwatek agreed, noting that “we are all so close and have fun,” which has created a supportive environment both during games and in practice. This chemistry has helped the team stay motivated and enjoy the season.
Looking ahead, the players are optimistic about what the rest of the season will bring. “I think our team will definitely make it farther than we did last year,” Maddie explained, while Kaida added that the team could do “extremely good if we keep up how we’ve been playing.” With strong teamwork and confidence the Hamburg girls are setting high expectations and aiming for a successful season.
