The cold is finally starting to die down a little, and the warmth is starting to welcome itself. There is nice 60-degree weather for the most part, and a few days even reach a sunny 70 degrees. Students and teachers must really start to feel optimistic about these days and the later sunsets. When the weather is above 50 degrees, students are prepared with shorts and t-shirts, along with a pair of open-toe shoes. Humidity can be very high at times, but some would argue it is better than having hands nipped by the cold. Athletes could certainly be ready for the perfect weather to practice, play games, and attend meets.
A junior German exchange student, Jolie Fruhauf, is so excited for this warm weather and is looking forward to doing so many things. Whether it is hanging out with her friends, going on walks, or just enjoying the air, she feels comfortable. She says, “I am so excited to be able to go down to Rita’s with my friends.” She is ready for spring nails, too that are so cute.
Rebecca Watts, a sophomore, is stoked for the warm weather and is ready to prepare herself for the very hot days upcoming. There is not much she is planning on doing with the weather involved. She is excited about her birthday, not having to worry about freezing. Soon enough, this weather will start to become hotter each day, and Becca makes that pretty clear. “Everyone is going to start to become way too hot in this heat.”
There are going to be people who enjoy the heat, and others prefer the cold, or even a rainy day. At the moment, though, there is a feeling that almost everyone is enjoying the change of weather. That UV may be getting up higher soon, and folks might have to be putting their sunscreen on. Get the sunglasses ready, cars with the windows down, and soon that cold, refreshing water will be calling anyone’s name.
