Many wrestling athletes strive to achieve understandably tough goals. One of these goals is to have 100 career wins by the end of high school wrestling. I, a Hamburg student athlete, have just achieved this recognizable accomplishment at the beginning of my senior year. After being injured in my junior year, I made a recovery and attained one of my goals that I had worked toward since being a freshman.
I faced numerous challenges and adversities in my pursuit of achieving 100 career wins. “I am grateful for my family, who have given me so many opportunities in wrestling and the coaches who have helped me every step of the way,” I explained as a Hamburg student-athlete.
I won my hundredth career match at Reading High School. Fulfilling this goal meant a great deal to me, as I had put in a tremendous amount of effort into the sport to reach this point in my career. I celebrated with my coaches and teammates for my dedication and am continuing to work hard for myself and the team.
The next step is to work even harder than before to continue achieving these big goals. The Hamburg wrestling team recognizes the hard work and effort displayed by its student-athletes and always encourages them to strive for even greater success. Hamburg allows everyone to develop and succeed at every level. They work with everyone who has the motivation to be exceptional and put in their best effort. This adds another athlete to the hundred-win club with room for more to join in the near future.
