It is starting to become that time of the year again when everything is chilly. There happens to be a seasonal illness with the cold weather. The wind is becoming stronger and more pushy. The majority of students and staff are beginning to get rid of the short sleeves for the upcoming season and bring on the long sleeves. Many students express what they wear during the colder season in different ways.
Mady Traylor is a freshman student who believes that this time of the year, she definitely should bundle up. Layers are an important part of staying warm during these days and help a lot. Traylor makes it well known that people should start to adjust and lose the short sleeves and shorts for a while, and put on more seasonal clothing. Even though this is how she feels, she is not picky as to how students dress for this weather. “Just because the season is changing, does not mean you can not express yourself,” she acknowledges. Mady has her favorite outfit for the cold that she loves to wear, which is simply a cute sweater and leggings. Traylor expresses, “It is something that keeps me warm and comfortable all day.”
There are other opinions on what students wear during the cold. Another freshman student, Sophia Kramer, personally does not care what she wears to school when it is colder outside. She is aware that sometimes she is not wearing clothes suited to the weather. Though at times, Kramer will head outside with a sweatshirt and sweatpants to stay cozy. “Sometimes I will see kids with their winter jackets on or with a thinner layer underneath,” she brings up. “I will come to school with a short-sleeve shirt during the cold, but I will always have a sweatshirt or long-sleeve shirt with me to stay warmer,” Kramer commented. She knows this weather can be harsh at times, and warm clothing is crucial at this time of the year.
