On Friday October 10, the Hamburg Area High School football team faced off against SV in the annual frost bowl game. They played at the SV stadium, the final score was 37-17. They lost a hard fought game that they had been preparing for all season. Coach Nicholas Mcbreen says that he thinks they played hard in the beginning but died out toward the end. If they would have stuck to the plays assigned they would have done a lot better and would have had a slightly better chance of bringing the team to victory.
Captain Cayden Mason says that the game could have gone better overall if everyone did their job. If his teammates had done the plays correctly and everyone did their part and stayed positive, there could have been a better outcome.
Jonah Jozefick and Molly Krick agree that they played very hard but it was a challenging obstacle to overcome. They have tried learning SV tactics and plays but it fails every time.“They started off strong but died toward the end” “They had it all under control but got very in their heads during the second half.” the two students stated. The fans also think if they work hard they could come back better and stronger to beat the Schuylkill Valley Panthers next year.
