Halloween is a time of year when spooky stories are very popular and told. Some stories might be passed down in a family or others the person just has heard off the internet.
Teegan Long, a freshman whose favorite spooky story is about the Salem Witch Trials. This is her favorite story because she likes witches and their long history, and Teegan heard this story from when she went to Salem, Massachusetts with her family in 2023.
Cheyenne Kline who is also a freshman, and her favorite story is The Witch in the Ditch. Cheyenne heard this from her grandmother, and it is Cheyenne’s favorite story because it has a lot of history behind Halloween, and The Witch in the Ditch is passed down through mostly women in her family.
Natalie Diaz who is a sophomore, her favorite spooky story is the Conjuring. This is her favorite because of how many parts it has and how scary it is. She heard of the Conjuring from her dad who showed her one year and she loved it since.
The last person is Preston Jones, a freshman whose favorite scary story is The Black Phone. Preston’s parents told him about when it first came out in 2022. The Black Phone is his favorite because he says “It’s one of the only movies I find actually scary.”.
