People everywhere celebrate so many different holidays, but during the peak of spring, many people celebrate Easter. Easter is a big holiday among many people, and everyone has their own ways of celebrating. Some people have Easter egg hunts, some dye eggs, and some spend time with their loved ones. A lot of people tend to do similar things from year to year, creating traditions. A lot of the time traditions can change or be altered as kids grow up, and other time things generally stay the same. Another factor would be any younger siblings that may still be in the family.
Sophomore Aleana Cox says that her family spends Easter together just enjoying their time. She also mentions that they dye eggs, “We dye eggs with the dumb store bought kits.” They then eat Easter lunch with her mom, and they spend the end of the day with her dad and grandma where they eat dinner. She says that their traditions have not changed very much over the years, with one of the only things changing is the fact that they do not have easter egg hunts anymore simply because they have gotten older.
Sophomore Elizabeth Grim says that she enjoys doing many things on Easter, but that her favorite traditions are making Easter bread and watching a movie called The 10 Commandments with her family.
Sophomore Elizabeth Carroll says that since her and all of her siblings are grown, they do not really do anything for Easter anymore.
Overall a lot of people do similar things on Easter, while others just simply do not do anything. In the end it really does not matter what people do on Easter, just that they are pleased with what they are doing, and enjoying their few days off of school with family and friends or however they desire to spend that time. Maybe next year starting a new tradition would be the way to go, just to try something different.
