Madison Weist is a new junior coming to Hamburg Area High School from Antietam. Madi’s new friends describe her as outgoing and kind. Madi exclaimed that she is enjoying Hamburg, She says, “I think it’s a really good school and the teachers actually care about the kids and they care enough to help you when you need it.” 

    Madison is taking Forensics 2 and Microsoft Office and the basics like Geometry, English, and American Cultures. She has explained she really enjoys the classes especially Forensics 2 with Mrs. Sinopoli, Madi states, “She’s such a great teacher.” Madi is not participating in any clubs as of right now at HAHS. She said, “I was in yteens which was a woman’s mentorship/ empowerment club at my old school and science club.”

     Outside of school Madi has a bunch of hobbies she enjoys. Including playing guitar. Madi says, “I love playing guitar and music because it’s how my family and I bonded, so it’s always held a special place for me.” Madi really cares about family time and one of her favorite things to do is read and spend time with family and friends. Madi has six siblings, two brothers and four sisters. As well as two dogs Delta and Jade. After high school Madi plans to attend Kutztown and become an elementary teacher focusing on k-3 or something with horticulture and aquaculture.
