At our school, there are a lot of students who help make the day better just by being positive and friendly. One of those students is Ava Thorne. Ava is being featured in this week’s Student Spotlight because of her positive attitude and the way she enjoys being part of the school community.
Ava Thorne is currently in 10 grade and has been part of the Hamburg School District for a long time. “I am in 10 grade and I have been a Hamburg student for 10 years,” Ava said. Being in the same district for that long has helped her get to know a lot of people and feel comfortable at school.
For Ava, one of the best parts of the school day is getting to spend time with her friends. School can be busy, but lunch gives her a chance to relax and talk with people she enjoys being around. “Something I enjoy the most when I am at school is getting to see all of my friends during lunch,” Ava said. Ava is also involved in Student Council.
Like many students, Ava has found ways to stay positive during the school day. Even when things get stressful, she tries to keep a good mindset. “I stay positive throughout the day by looking forward to going home,” Ava explained. Having something to look forward to can make the day go by faster and help keep a good attitude.
Students like Ava help make our school a friendly and welcoming place. Her positive outlook and strong friendships show how important it is to enjoy the small moments during the school day.
