Mrs. Farina is a Biology teacher at Hamburg Area High School. She started teaching biology because she always like learning about how the life worked and the way it does, she finds the consequences of what happens when specific processes do not work they way the are supposed to specifically as it relates to human diseases, and how, we as humans, are constantly working to try to fix those problems fascinating. The part she loves the most is just how interconnected everything in life really is even at the molecular level. It is fun when I get to share those connections with students.
She originally went to college as a Pre Med major before she realized that was not the best path for her. She loves sharing her passion for biology with students which helped her become the teacher she is today.
She has two sons at home, both of whom have names inspired by Harry Potter. She is a huge Harry Potter fan. She also loves photography and capturing the moments with her camera such as her kids.
Her favorite place she has traveled was Southern California. She has family in San Diego that she gets to visit, she also enjoys the relaxed atmosphere. She also hates extreme Hot or cold temperatures and the temperature there is comfortable all year round.
