Reiley Jozefick – 9
This year, Mr. Buggy’s classroom welcomed a new addition—his student teacher, Ms. Boyer. The new teacher, who attended Central Bucks West High School and is currently studying at Kutztown University, brings a fresh perspective and excitement to the classroom. Although this is her first experience teaching, she has shown a natural talent for connecting with students.
From the first day, it was clear that Ms. Boyer was ready to make a difference. She was nervous to start out teaching kids, but she was excited as well. Ms. Boyer had a blast on her first day, she said she felt very welcomed and right at home. Ms. Boyer also brings a very welcoming personality to the classroom. She is ready to talk to any and all students about anything, whether it is history topics or life advice. Her goal is to make the kids feel safe and have an overall great experience while they are in the building.
Ms. Boyer wanted to be a history teacher because she has always had a love for knowing how what happened in the past relates to the present day. She also loved helping kids when she was in high school. She would tutor the students who needed extra help. Seeing the students improve made her happy just to see they understood the topic. She wants to help the students at the Hamburg Area High School the same way she helped those students back in high school.
In Ms. Boyer’s free time she loves to shop, try new coffee shops, and she loves going to the gym! She also enjoys playing with her dog or cats, but especially her guinea pig Mr. Squeakers.
In conclusion, Mr. Buggy’s new student teacher, Ms. Boyer, has been a welcome addition to the classroom. She has proven herself to be a capable, enthusiastic, and compassionate educator who is eager to learn and grow. With continued mentorship from Mr. Buggy and their own dedication, there is no doubt that they will continue to thrive in their teaching career.
