The students at Hamburg Area High School love their English teacher, Mrs. Trubilla. Mrs. Trubilla has been a teacher for 21 years, and this is her 15th year at Hamburg. She went to Shippensburg for college, along with taking multiple other online courses. Mrs. Trubilla teaches several English classes throughout the high school, with her favorite grade level to teach being ninth grade. Mrs. Trubilla is an absolute bookworm and loves reading all kinds of stories and books.
Mrs. Trubilla has always loved reading and English class, growing up, which made her choose English as her subject to teach. However, if she were not teaching English, she would be teaching history or a more English alternative, such as publications. One of Mrs. Trubilla’s teacher icks would be when teachers do not actually teach and sit at their desks during the school day and do not engage with their students. The biggest student ick Mrs. Trubilla has is when students think they know everything and show it too.
Mrs. Trubilla is a great teacher at Hamburg Area High School and has several influences to get here today. If Mrs. Trubilla had one piece of advice to give, it would be to try it all, join the club, study abroad, and do things that scare you! She enjoys the staff and other teachers at the high school. She has had many memorable English and reading teachers to help her get to where she is today.
