Sid Bonning is a freshman who is beginning to adjust to high school. Sid is non-binary and goes by the pronouns they and them. They have had to make very large adjustments to the high school, like having to map everything out and get to where they need to go, but overall, they say they really enjoy high school. A few tips they shared to other freshmen trying to get used to high school are “carry a map with you and don’t be afraid to ask questions anytime.” They say that there is much more freedom and equal treatment in high school compared to middle school. They say that high school is “more chill” than middle school was. 

     They are also associated in musical groups like choir and the school’s musicals. In the musical Annie, Sid played Miss Hannigan. Sid was also the whisk and a tavern person in the Beauty and the Beast musical, as well as the ensemble. Sid is going to also be in the upcoming Bye Bye Birdie musical as a part of the quartet. In previous years of middle school, Sid was also in Mrs. Marra’s ‘Wings’ program, where they learned how to play instruments like the guitar, ukulele, and the bucket drums.
