Carlee Stitzel

Student Council is selling chocolate to raise money to buy shirts for every student at HAHS. Members of student council, Carlee Stitzel and Danelle Wollyung, with the help of Mrs. McCarthy put this together. We reached out to a small business that makes homemade chocolate.

We chose a small business rather than a larger worldwide business because this will help to get their name and company out to families. We chose to work with Tara’s Treats and Goodies from Kempton. The Student Council set a goal for $500 worth of sales, and using this business, we get back 25% of all gross sales donated back to us.

Mrs. McCarthy is excited about the chocolate sales because she has had this chocolate before and the chocolate is soft and very delicious. Tara is local and a homemade business. We are selling chocolate to buy everyone in school a spirit shirt, which would be about 800 shirts. It is such a large amount because the last time they did this was when the graduating class were freshman. This will also help for years to come because we will only have to order shirts for the new group of kids.
