On December 16, 2022 Tilden Elementary School PTO held a Santa’s Workshop in the evening. This gave younger kids in kindergarten through fifth grade a chance to buy little items for a small price to give to their family members as gifts. The main students who volunteered for this event participate in the clubs Student Council, Leo Club, and NHS.

Freshman Bethany Stufflet who participates in Leo Club volunteered to help little kids when they were picking out presents and said that it was “Really fun and cute.” She had the chance when she was in elementary school to attend her school’s Santa’s Workshop, so she already had an idea of what it was going to be like.

Another freshman, Maddie Handwerk, who also participates in Leo Club volunteered in the same position of helping little kids pick out presents. She enjoyed helping the little kids pick out their presents as they seemed very happy when choosing gifts for their family. Maddie has also been to the event in elementary school, but did not remember much of it. She had a lot of fun being able to volunteer at the elementary school helping little kids.

Santa’s Workshop was a great opportunity for students to volunteer by helping little kids shop for presents for their families. It was also a great way for kids to experience some fun Christmas activities. Kids could make ornaments, get food at the concession stand, play fun festive Christmas games, and watch Home Alone in the auditorium.
