There is a new dog in Hamburg named Raphi. He is a black lab and only eight weeks old. He is going through his teething stage so he likes chewing on things which means please do not put your fingers in his mouth. The kids are so excited to see him, and the 6th period publication class was also very excited to be there when he came. When he arrived he was six weeks and six days and was also one of eight puppies.

Raphi will grow to be the same size as Paul which is about 70 lbs. He is in a spoiling stage right now but we still have to keep in mind that he is training. Raphi is adjusting well to the new environment Mrs. McCarthy says. Raphi and Paul are very similar in personality but Mrs. McCarthy says, “She thinks Raphi’s brain is devoling a little faster than Paul. Like Raphi is able to climb the steps and Paul was not able to at the age and when Mrs. McCarthy is doing laundry Paul would go grab a shoe and chew on it right next to her but Raphi will go expolr the new place.” Raphi is able to sleep through the night in his own crate now. Mrs. McCarthy states “He was easy to potty train and she takes him out to the bathroom every hour so there are not any accidents.” Raphi loves car rides but does not like to be snuggled.

If you would like to know some more about Raphi stop by the Library and ask Mrs. McCarthy.
