Deja Wagner-Wakefield is a Sophomore at HAHS who is on the varsity cheer squad. Deja has done cheer for a while. She did cheerleading in kindergarten and first grade and then she quit up until sixth grade. Deja started cheerleading at Schuylkill Valley school district, which is where she cheered for two years until she moved to HAHS in fifth grade. Then her next year at HAHS, she started cheerleading again. She has been a cheerleader for HASD ever since then. 

     “It was not hard with the change because I cheered only in kindergarten and first grade at Schuylkill Valley. I think I am pretty good at cheerleading.” Deja likes being a cheerleader at Hamburg more than she did at Schuylkill Valley. Deja’s favorite things to do as a cheerleader are stunting and doing band dances. If Deja was not doing cheerleading, she would be doing dance instead.
