Students use excuses in many different circumstances for many different reasons. When an assignment is forgotten at home, they have not studied, their homework is not done, and so many other things. However there always seems to be a few excuses that are better than the rest. Some of them are so funny no one would ever believe it, and others are not believable whatsoever. 

      Many excuses are overused like, “I forgot it at home”. However there are many different funny excuses that teachers have heard overtime. When teachers where asked they anonymously told me a few of the funny excuses that they have heard over the years. “My mom is working on it at home” and “My mom does not let me do homework” are two of the best excuses that I was told.

Bethany Stufflet said that she has heard many people say that they have used “I do not care about school” which she does not think is a good excuse.

       Many students do not like school and do not care about their work which is why they use these excuses, however other students simply want to be a class clown and make others laugh. No matter what the reason is behind the excuse teachers say depending on the student and situation these excuses can either brighten their day or be a pain.
