Sports are everywhere, in the news, at the local parks, in schools. But there are different kinds of sports that people bond over. The most common sport being soccer, which in Germany they call it fußball. American’s have a similar named sport called football, which is used with a more oval shaped ball and American soccer is used with a round ball.      In Germany’s schools there are many options for sports. Soccer, tennis, golf, and more. Similar to schools in America the schools teams go against another school. Germany is a very competitive country so when watching a game it always keeps you on your toes.

     According to Sports Foundation, the sixth most popular sport in Germany is handball. Not many Americans have heard of handball and a lot more of them have never watched a handball game. Handball is when two teams of seven go against each other for two 30 minute halves. They try to pass and shoot the ball into the net with a goalie trying to deflect the ball.
