Senior Spotlight: Amanda Smith

Sara Fitzgerald

As the school year starts for everyone, our seniors begin their last year of high school. They begin to make their last decisions on exactly what they want to do once they graduate. Some seniors might not quite know what they want, but others would have a plan for their new life, a prime example being Amanda Smith.

Amanda has gone to Hamburg her entire life and is finally on the last chapter of high school. Her favorite class throughout high school was English in tenth grade. Amanda has also enjoyed the experience tech offers her. She has become close with many people from surrounding schools through tech, which she attends for sports medicine and rehabilitative therapy. She will remain in all of her sports: fall cheerleading, winter cheerleading, spring track and field. Her favorite memories coming from these sports and the people she spends the most time with. As she thinks about the future ahead, she is most excited to spend her last year with her closest friends making the best memories.

After graduation she would like to travel with her family before going to college. She would like to major as a Physician Assistant at DeSales University. Amanda wants to help people, and she believes that becoming a Physician Assistant would offer her these opportunities. She is excited for her future after high school.
