Christmas+Movie+Review+-+Home+Alone

There are many films for around the holidays that are familiar to almost everyone. One of them would have to be the film Home Alone directed by Rod Daniel. This is a classic Christmas movie from 1990 that follows an eight year old boy named Kevin McCallister played by Macaulay Culkin. He is accidentally left home alone in his house on Christmas after his family leaves for France. Kevin has to fight off robbers from entering his home by setting up traps. This comedic and entertaining film is a classic for many people and even students despite it being made much before their time.

A sophomore, Riley Mohn says she enjoys this film because it is entertaining and funny. She saw it many times with her family and says it is a classic. They love to enjoy this film together and have a fun time. Riley says she saw it over three times and does not watch it every year but saw it very frequently. She enjoys watching holiday movies every year with her family and this is one of her favorites.

Andrew Koval, a sophomore at HAHS, says he enjoys watching this film with family or friends at school. He does not remember the exact number of times he saw it but he knows that he saw it a lot. One of the best parts of this movie for him is the quotes from Kevin that he says are very funny. One of the most popular quotes that Kevin says is “Keep the change, you filthy animal.”
