On September 20, the homecoming king, Ricky Clark and queen, Amelia Gassert were announced during halftime at the homecoming game against Kutztown. Many events and activities were held leading up to Friday’s game including a spirit week, the powderpuff game, the annual senior trip to Leaser Lake, and a brand new Fall Fest. These events helped to spread school spirit throughout the student body, and Hamburg took the win over the Kutztown Cougars with a final score of 34-25.
Ricky Clark comments, “Last week was really amazing. The week was packed full of great memories and really fun activities that I got to participate in with my fellow classmates. It was topped off with a really good homecoming weekend, which showcased a great homecoming court.”
The 2024 homecoming court included: Jenna Piltz, Amelia Gassert, Shayna Morales, Jordyn Crespo, Isabella Reader, Ricky Clark, Tyler Shuey, Cameron Kleckner, Daniel Brady, and Ty Werley. Amelia Gassert states, “It was a really fun week, because we got to do a lot of activities that led up to the game. I really liked my fellow court members, and it was nice to celebrate the night with them.”
The homecoming dance, sponsored by the Junior class, was held on Saturday September 21 from 6 pm-9 pm. It was held in the Cafeteria and featured fun decorations, a DJ, and refreshments. Students were able to dance the night away, celebrating Hamburg’s win and a fun-filled week!
