This school year, students are preparing in various ways to ensure success. Sophomore Koa Binder, for example, has set goals such as completing homework assignments on time and maintaining good grades in most, if not all, of her classes. Koa is also working on balancing her busy after-school schedule with her academic responsibilities by using class time and weekends effectively to get her work done. To stay organized and keep grades up, it is important to establish a good study routine. While Koa typically does not study much, she plans to start this year to help boost her grades. At the beginning of the school year, it is a great time to identify areas for improvement. Koa has shared that she would like to enhance her test-taking skills and improve her writing technique.
Kaylea Detweiler, a Sophomore at HAHS, is also finding ways to prepare and improve for the school year. Everyone has their own methods for staying organized, and for Kaylea, it is all about her aesthetic supplies. She says these supplies help motivate her to do her work and stay organized. To prepare for tests, Kaylea is making flashcards to study with her friends, which she finds to be the most motivating. Her main goal for the year is to prioritize school over fun, a strategy that she believes helps her maintain good grades.
