Tornadoes terrorize Florida once again

Recently, Panama City, Marianna and various places along the Gulf Coast of Florida were yet again hit with devastating tornadoes. These natural disasters are very dangerous and very destructive as they destroy buildings and kill many people. Although Hamburg does not get tornadoes often like Florida does, it is still important to know when they occur. This is not only because it affects people in Florida, but it affects people all over the world as they may have family in Florida that were hit with a natural disaster. A USA Today article stated, “Eight tornadoes were recorded throughout the state Tuesday, according to preliminary data released by the National Weather Service as of Wednesday morning. The first seven tornadoes were reported between 12:17 p.m. and 1:59 p.m. on the Florida panhandle. An additional tornado was reported at 9:23 p.m. further south near St. Petersburg, with a brief EF-0 touchdown.” So far no Florida deaths were reported however deaths were reported in Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina. About four people died from outside the state lines. In Florida several people were injured.
