Into The Tall Grass Movie Review

Into The Tall Grass Movie Review

Morgan Lutz

Netflix’s movie Into the Tall Grass is a film adaptation based on the novella written by Stephen King and Joe Hill. Produced in 2019, directed by Vincenzo Natali, and starring Patrick Wilson, Laysla De Oliveira, Will Buie Jr., and Avery Whitted, this movie is fast-paced and will keep viewers watching until the very end.

The movie is set in Kansas while brother and sister (Becky DeMuth and Cal DeMuth) are traveling through the country side on the way to San Diego. They are arguing about her pregnancy, although the full story has not yet been revealed to the viewer. At one point, they stop the car and hear a boy yelling for help. They get out of the car and realize that the boy is yelling from inside the field of grass that covers the countryside. Cal decides to go in and find the boy, which he will learn was a huge mistake. Becky follows her brother into the corn, and they get separated from each other. After they learn that they cannot find each other again, the movie starts to have different plot twists.

There are many different twists and turns throughout the movie that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. There are many different time loops, and the grass appears to do crazy things, such as move people through space and time. This is a movie that will leave viewers confused until the very end and still begging for answers long after the credits are over.

There are many different plot holes throughout the movie; however, this could have been intentional by the director in an attempt to leave the viewer with many different unanswered questions.

Overall, this was an incredible movie and one of the best psychological thrillers I have ever seen, and I would recommend this movie to anyone interested in a little mind fun.
