HAHS students predict the first snowfall

Bethany Stufflet

As December comes around, some students at Hamburg Area High School have their predictions for when the first snow falls. Maria Brown, a freshman, predicted the first snow to fall on December 20. Tia Adam, a freshman, guessed December 21. Sophomore, Vinny Heckman, said December 12. Freshman, Harrison Mast, guessed December 19. December 17 was also predicted by a freshman, Mason Gruber. Freshman Allie Houck had a pretty early prediction for December 8. The final prediction was made by sophomore Cameron Kleckner and he guessed December 5.

These are all great guesses. Now wait to see whose prediction was the closest and keep an eye out for the first snowfall. According to weather.com, the first real snow shower will be on December 16 this year. The almanac.com says that this year’s winter temperatures will be “below normal, while precipitation and snowfall will be above normal” for Pennsylvania. Let’s see if that is true or not.
