Mrs. Fink is the Hamburg Area High School guidance secretary. She has worked here for 26 years and did not start off in the high school office. She first started out as a building clerk. She found the job fun and enjoyed doing the announcements in the mornings and throughout the day. She liked her job before but wanted a change and somewhere that was more calm.
Mrs. Fink’s favorite thing about working in the guidance office is being around all the students. She loves seeing the growth in them throughout their four years in high school.
She claims that the change from being a building clerk to now, being in the guidance office, was the right decision. For her it is quieter and there are not as many kids going in and out. She gets to deal with outside colleges to help students out also.
Mrs. Fink likes working with everyone in the office. She loves being a team and working with different people. She is also very outgoing and always loves to converse with others. One of her coworkers, Mrs. Machamer, our high school counselor loves to be around Mrs. Fink and having her as a partner that is so helpful is amazing. They have worked together for eight years and Mrs. Machamer described Mrs. Fink as “the glue.”
Overall Mrs. Fink helps out and keeps things running smoothly in the guidance office.
