Since the fall season is just starting, it is that time of year again when students suddenly remember their love for pumpkin and apple-flavored treats. Most times, pumpkin and apple-flavored treats tend to be overlooked until they are hyped up for fall.
Out of the students I interviewed, they rather apple flavoring over pumpkin. Rylee Strunk and Bethany Stufflet both prefer apple, as compared to Xander Valentino, who prefers pumpkin. Rylee’s favorite dessert in the fall is pumpkin chocolate cookies, even though she prefers apple flavoring, and she hopes to try pumpkin bread sometime. Xander likes pumpkin rolls and pumpkin spice lattes. Bethany, on the other hand, prefers apples due to her liking for apple pie, but she does hope to try pumpkin pie sometime in the future.
From the article Pumpkin Spice Vs. Apple: Which is the superior fall flavor? According to The Daily Campus, the favor for pumpkin and apple spice was 50/50. All of the students who were interviewed seemed to go for their favorite drink flavors. Two students chose pumpkin over their love for pumpkin spice lattes, but the other two students chose apple due to apple cider and apple spice chai. From the results of that article and students at Hamburg, people are usually drawn to both flavors and all of the fun themed desserts and drinks that are offered during the season. It really just adds to the spirit of fall.
