As the leaves start to change and the air turns crisp, students as HAHS have one thing on their mind, food. To find out what everyone’s favorite fall foods are, a Google Form survey was sent out, and over 90 students responded. After combining similar responses, one thing was clear, students love pumpkin. Nearly 60 percent of students chose some type of pumpkin treat as their favorite fall food. Pumpkin pie won with 22 votes, followed by pumpkin roll with 18. Other pumpkin answers included pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin spice, and pumpkin whoopie pies. Clearly when it comes to fall, pumpkin comes out on top.
Some students leaned toward warm comfort food instead of sweets. Coming in second at about 15 percent are savory foods like turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, soup, and chili. A few students added in some wild cards like, pizza, tacos, shrimp, mangos, and deer as their favorite fall food. Apple themed treats came in third, with around 13 percent of students choosing classics like caramel apples, apple pie, apple crisp, apple cider, and apple cider donuts.
Overall results show pumpkin is the most popular among the HAHS students.
Whether its pumpkin pies, rolls, or spice, pumpkin is the best taste of fall.
