Sports teams have been making the most of their memories at HAHS as the fall season is starting to end shortly for sports. Coaches and students have put in a lot of hard work to help the teams be successful. It is always nice to start off the year with a supportive fall season.
Mr Menapace, the Athletic Director of HAHS thought that the students started off with a really good season. Mr. Menapace always likes to see student participation, he enjoys when more students are willing to come out for sports. He explained, “I really hoped for more student participation this year than from last year, and it was the same amount of students.” Mr. Menapace really enjoys what he does for this school. He mentioned, “I love my job getting here to support these students.”
Caleb Jackson, freshman soccer player, had a lot to say about how his season went. His first and most recent memory would have to be the seniors giving out “words of wisdom” and the seniors talking about how the year and season went. Caleb had set his one goal for himself this year. He commented, “The one and only goal that I had set for myself was to play varsity mid-way through my freshman year.” Caleb accomplished this goal and it was nerve-racking at first, but the upperclassmen were very kind to him when it happened. Caleb’s teammates have certainly helped him out along the way. “Even in the hardest part of my season during heat acclimation, everyone showed up, and proved themselves worthy of helping, staying true to the team,” Caleb shared. His teammates have done so much to help him out especially during rough times of the season. Caleb states, “I doubt I would be to the point where I am on the team, if my teammates would not have been there during those tough times.” Fall sports are truly a start to a memorable season.
