Carter Riegel, a senior at Hamburg Area High School, is a student who balances school, activities and his love for being outdoors. Carter has been involved in numerous sports such as baseball and soccer, which have taught him teamwork, dedication, and leadership skills that he carries with him both on and off the field. Throughout high school, he has been active in the Agricultural Science Club.
In addition to his school activities, Cater attends BCTC, where he studies Building Construction Occupations. BCTC gives him opportunities that some students do not get to experience and learn skills that will be useful in his future career. It is great to do hands-on work and learn practical skills that go beyond the classroom. This will help him succeed in the workforce after graduation. The program also prepares him for the career path he wants to take by helping him build confidence in his abilities to get right into a job. Carter plans to become a lineman, a career that aligns with his strong work ethic and interest in working outdoors.
Outside of school, Carter enjoys hunting, fishing, working, hanging out with friends, and playing sports. These activities keep him busy and allow him to push himself. Whether he is out in nature, at practice, or spending time with friends, Carter always finds a way to stay active and enjoy life to the fullest.
