There are many different types of candy available for Halloween all around the world. At Hamburg Area High School, students have varying opinions on their favorites and least favorites.
Favorites among candies ranged from sour to sweet, with Twix and other chocolates being top choices. Licorice was consistently at the bottom. Whoppers sparked debate, as students considered them both underrated and overrated.
A few candies were listed as underrated treats, such as Jolly Ranchers, Kinder Eggs, Mike and Ike’s, and candy pumpkins. Candy corn was part of both sides of the debate, seen as overly hyped and overdistributed, yet also as an underrated and tasty treat.
Most students at Hamburg Area High School enjoy plain chocolate. It does not matter what type, as long as it is a chocolate bar. Students expressed dislike for the chewy, rubbery texture of licorice and wished it would not be handed out, especially black licorice.
Everyone hopes this year will be a good candy year and that they will receive lots of sugary treats this Halloween at Hamburg Area High School.
