Mrs. Keck is the Computer and businesses teacher who has been teaching at HAHS for a total of 21 years. She teaches computer and career awareness classes, accounting, Microsoft Office certification, sports and entertainment marketing, and business law.
She graduated from Nativity High School in Pottsville, and Bloomsburg College. Before being a teacher, she had three other jobs: working as a babysitter, a waitress, and in an accounting office. Outside of teaching, Mrs. Keck is a mother of three boys, Luciano, Gianni, and Lorenzo: one being in tenth grade, another in eighth grade, and the last in second grade.
Before teaching at HAHS, she taught at Hazeleton High School for one year as well as being a student teacher there. At Hazeleton, she taught business and computer classes just as she does here. Out of all of her classes, entrepreneurship, which she does not teach anymore, was her favorite. She loved that class because it let the students be creative and show their love for making an idea of a business. Mrs. Keck’s favorite thing about teaching is watching all of her students grow into mature adults. She also enjoys teaching her classes because of a similar reason. Her reason for teaching the classes she does is because she loves the business world and enjoys preparing kids for the real world, and she believes her classes do just that.
