As the 2025-2026 school year approaches we welcome some new faces. We have many additions to our faculty this year, including Mrs. Missimer for our assistant principal. But mainly HAHS gained a new special education teacher: Mrs. Miller.
She has had many roles during her 11 years of experience. This all includes teaching in Eastern Arts Academy for 4th and 5th graders, Paraprofessional: Leigh County, IU 21 multiple Disability teacher, and student teaching experience in the Whitehall school district. Whitehall is where she fell in love with being a learning support teacher. She actually started teaching because her mentor for student teaching was pregnant, so the following year she got to be the year round teacher. During covid time she taught kindergarten, but claims she still loves to teach the high schoolers. Mrs. Miller is very confident and knowledgeable, and passionate about what she does.
Some facts she liked to share about involved family, personal preference, and origin. Mrs. Miller is from Schnecksville Pennsylvania in Lehigh County. She has one child, Julian, who keeps her very busy like she would say. He loves to play sports and he is only nine years old. She is the snack stand coordinator during football so 9am-6pm on Sundays gets very busy. She has been married for 10 years and they recently just celebrated their anniversary.
At Hamburg Area High School she CO teaches many subjects. She teaches history for two periods, teaches ELA 11 with Mrs. Palerino, ELA 9 with Mrs. Stevens, and Integrated Science with Mr. Meyers. She always heard great things about Hamburg and noticed Hamburg had an application for a Special Ed teacher and she did not waste any time to jump to the position. We are so beyond excited to welcome Mrs. Miller!
