New school year, new beginnings, new freshmen: this is what happens at the end of every August as the school doors open. The new faces enter the hallway with both fear and excitement as they adapt to their new surroundings. The halls are bustling with chatter and the classrooms feel far. It is easy for the new faces to feel overwhelmed and lost but do not fret! Our upperclassmen are here to help!
Ava Bailey has been here at HAHS for the last four years. This year, the one she is the most excited about, is her last. Her advice to the lowerclassmen is simple. “Stay calm, stay focused and take one day at a time.” The words should help every freshman that is coming through the doors and provide them with a sense of ease as they settle into their first year.
Morgan Marsh, a sophomore at HAHS has a different kind of advice. “Aways do extra credit even if you don’t need it.”
