This year, starting on Wednesday September 10, the Journey Cafe celebrates its 20th Rock Us Event! Dan Bailey, the man who runs the Journey Cafe, has said that “Rock Us is a super fun youth group where students can hang out with other teens, grab some pizza, have a lot of fun, different activities, music. It gives a short message about God’s love and it talks about faith and life. It starts at 5:45 PM on Wednesdays and ends at 8:30 PM On Wednesdays and all middle and high schoolers are welcome to come.”
“It’s a very welcoming place and a safe and loving environment,” says one of the youth band’s singers, Gracie, from Schuylkill Valley.
Come to Rock Us every Wednesday until the end of the school year. The last Rock Us of the school year will have lots of games, walking tacos (usually), a dunk tank (if it is not raining), and most importantly, the band will play hype music before all students can play games.
Phones are allowed at Rock Us, but only during Game Time and Pizza Time. Drummer Joey Seidel puts this rule into better words, “Get off your phones and come meet people! Experience the world!”
Dan and the Journey crew hope to see many new faces at Rock Us this year, new faces that are willing to learn about the wonders of God through fun and exciting ways. They have a wonderful group of volunteers willing to help and support anyone during their path to God’s love.
