Hamburg Area High School Principal Mr. McGinley has many goals for the 2025-2026 school year and the main focus is to grow. He hopes that we have academic growth throughout the year and evolve into successful young adults. McGinley also talked about his milestones he has set to hopefully achieve and help better our school community. He would like to be out and more visible around the school throughout the day and become more acquainted with the curriculum as a leader. He is looking forward to Homecoming week because he enjoys all the events and spirit days that lead up to homecoming, especially the Homecoming game. He says he is most excited for the Powder Puff game because he says it is very exciting and just an overall fun night. He loves to watch our male and female students switch roles and get competitive in the Powder Puff game.
McGinley is also known for his past roles as a grade 3 teacher at Tilden Elementary and as a Vice Principal at the Middle School. McGinley says that the biggest thing he had to adjust to was having different responsibilities which grew to overseeing students and staff. This was a very smooth transition for him because with his past as an elementary teacher, he knew many faces and already had connections with the student body. Vice Principal, Ms. Missimer, says she loves working alongside Mr. McGinley. She is thrilled to be able to have this opportunity because she stated that they work very well with each other, have common interests, and are the “Dream Team”,
In conclusion, Principal McGinley has his goals set straight for the 2025-2026 school year. He plans to do everything he can to make a happy and safe school community for everyone. Make it a great school year.
