Dakota Schneider, a junior at Hamburg Area High School, balances honor classes, her job at McDonald’s, and social life with a set plan. She tries her best to stay organized by breaking big tasks into small sections. “I usually do a portion of an assignment or homework and then relax for a bit afterwards and get back on track,” Schneider said. Sometimes she will call friends or play video games, including Piggy and 99 Nights in a Forest, in between assignments to make sure she does not experience burnout.
At night, she has a set routine that she does, either after work or after school. She cleans her room, does her skin care, brushes her bangs, and calls or texts one of her friends. “It’s when everything slows down, and I can reflect on the day, and relax after work or school,” she said.
Dakota has a pet cat named Pepper, whom she got for Christmas a few years ago. Pepper has been an amazing member in her family and brightens Dakota’s life.
Dakota is happy to be a student at Hamburg and loves showing her school spirit at sporting events and art performances. She encourages everyone to do the same and enjoy their high school years.
