The beginning of fall and our school’s most favorable season of all, football season, has officially started. The football team has been getting our team into full swing and even though they are off to a rough start, they plan to shift into full gear and continue their rise to the top. Mr. Buggy, a World Cultures teacher, and the team’s defensive coach has shared his top priorities. He hopes to gain experience and let that sink into and translate to more wins. Mr. Buggy shared he is most excited about having such a positive team and says that they are very “receptive to coaching.” His hopes include competing like they should and to progress each week. He is feeling a lot of optimism towards the team and hopes to include that in their competitiveness.
Head coach, Mr. Hartranft, also shared his top priorities this season to begin establishing toughness as a group and hope to include more discipline and continue to develop inside the weight room. Mr. Hartranft included that he was most excited to see how everyone continues to grow and to see many new players in varsity positions. His main hopes for our football team include continuing to improve and begin to play with relentless effort on the field. Mr. Hartranft is feeling very good about the season so far from the start of week one to the beginning of week three and hopes to keep hungry as the season moves on.
